We tried the vegetarian dumpling was fresh and very good, the green onion pancake was also good, not greasy. But we were not happy with the type of noodles that they use for their vegetable Chow mein. We will try other items next time.

Tried this place after my niece recommended it and everything was great about it. The soup dumplings were fire, we tried a couple different varieties. Also tried the won ton soup and veggie rolls, all the plates were amazing. Our server was so nice, there wasn't too many people in the restaurant but he was still walking quickly to get everything that the guests ordered and our water glasses were never low. The kitchen is behind a glass wall and you can see the dumplings being made to order - highly recommend!

Very authentic XLB and SJB. Definitely will add to my recommendations. XLB soup isn't heavy or overly rich/fatty. I enjoy the lighter broth taste. SJB aren't doughy, thin layer on top and well crispy bottom layer.

Good food, it's made so you could add condiments like garlic oil , vinegar etc. lot of choices. The Xialong bao was very delicious. Kyle the server was so nice and pleasant. He explained to me how to choose and pick the right dishes. The place was modern and very clean. I recommend that you give them a try. You'll be glad you did .

No frills, flavorful Chinese food - our favorites are the beef roll and shrimp & chive boiled dumplings! Been here a few times and we always get the beef roll; tender beef and lettuce with a hoisin sauce inside a scallion pancake-esque wrap. It's salty, slightly sweet, and has textures. We've tried their soup dumplings, pan fried, and boiled dumplings, while all are good, my personal favorite is the shrimp/pork/chive dumplings. It's so flavorful and clean tasting, feels very homemade.

One of my new favorite dumpling spots in SF. Having moved to the west side of the city, I was looking for new dumpling spots for my dumpling fix and a friend who lived near Stonestown took me to try mom's dumpling and boy did it meet my expectations. They had the soup dumplings as well as the pan fried soup dumplings. Both were super juicy and the flavor was comparable to some of the more popular spots in SF for soup dumplings. The pan fried dumplings were also juicy and not too big, which made it easy and delicious to eat. The spicy pig ear here was also very delicious and had some peppercorns in it which gave it a kick. The place was not too packed the few times I have been here. The workers were nice and seated us quick as well. Having no wait was definitely a plus and the restaurant was relatively spacious as well. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a new dumpling place with great taste!

Randomly found it when looking for restaurants around the Stonestown area and been back as well as ordered from them multiple times ever since. Most recently, I went around lunch time on a Saturday and got seated immediately. The restaurant is pretty simple and clean, not too loud either so nice for a chill lunch. I love the tiny spoon they have so you can perfectly hold their dumplings and everything is pretty well priced. Fresh Cucumber with Garlic Sauce - Very fresh vegetable dish. It's a nice contrast with the other heavier dishes and the garlic sauce is salty and sour. Special House Pork Xiao Long Bao - A classic and a dish we always have to get there. The dumpling dough is made so well, super thin but doesn't break easily and holds everything. It tastes like a standard xiao long bao, meaty, has a rich broth and is so good when dipped in vinegar. Beef Rolls - A new favorite! It has thin sliced braised beef, lettuce and hoisin sauce all wrapped up in a crispy scallion pancake. The sauce adds most of the tangy and sweet flavor which works well with the salty pancake and ingredients wrapped inside. Green Onion Pancake - Crispy and very thick. Also a nice classic dish we like to order sometimes when we want something more simple and filling. Special House Pan Fried Pork Bao - Another favorite! The bao itself is crispy and has a bite to it with the inside being soft and holds the soup / pork really nicely, similar to their xiao long bao. Best to eat steaming hot and be careful of the soup spilling out when you bite into it. Pork Dumpling in Chili Oil - Very flavorful and is the perfect amount of spice. It is savory and perfect when you're craving a spicier dish. One of my favorite places to get dumplings and other chinese dishes!

This is a pretty good Chinese food place at a decent price point! I came here for a team lunch and everything we ordered came out promptly and tasted good. We ordered lots of vegetarian food since we have quite a few vegetarians on the team. Beef pancake roll - 9/10 - good crunchy pancake outside, the meat was tasty but I felt like it was lacking in sauce just slightly Green onion pancake - 10/10 - this was pretty spot on, tasted yummy and came out very crunchy and warm Veggie pan fried dumplings - 8/10 - it was lacking greens inside, there were lots of mushrooms though but still tasty String green beans - 10/10 - so yummy!! I thought these were perfect Veggie fried rice - 9/10 - good taste, a variety of veggies in it, perfectly salted Mapo tofu - 9/10 - this was good, it was quite spicy actually, the only thing missing is meat but that is a personally preference in this dish for me Overall mom dumpling's food is very tasty! I thought the dishes were just a little small for sharing with a big group so you will need to order a lot of dishes for a large sized group.
